Ujjal Hafila

Product designer at Whatfix, Bengaluru. Working at the intersection of strategy, interaction design, and AI.

I'm a product designer based in Bengaluru, working at the intersection of strategy, interaction design, and emerging AI systems. My work lives in the space between why something should exist and how it should feel to use it.

Currently building at a Digital Adoption Platform company, where I focus on desktop application guidance — designing flows that help enterprise users navigate complex software without friction. I've been particularly invested in how AI can reshape guidance from static scripts into dynamic, context-aware assistants.

Before that, I've worked across product strategy, user research, and systems design — always starting with a why before touching a frame.

Design of a Portable, Automated Sewer-Line Inspection and De-Clogging Sewer-Bot for Indian Conditions

Research into Design for a Connected World: Proceedings of ICoRD 2019 Volume 1/ Springer

India’s sewer systems are inconsistent and hazardous, often requiring manual cleaning despite legal bans, leading to frequent deaths. Existing automated solutions are expensive and impractical for dense environments. This project proposes a low-cost, portable sewer-bot for inspection and minor de-clogging, designed for easy use by sanitation workers, improving safety, dignity, and maintenance efficiency.
